The Redesign

My good friend Maria and I have a silly saying when we have not talked in a while. The saying…“Where you been?” Since I have not posted in quite a while, some of you might be asking me that same question. 

It seemed like I had misplaced my creativity and my enthusiasm to write. I would not call it burnout. There were, and still are, larger circumstances that demand a chunk of my time. The good news is that creativity comes in many forms, and when the words were not there, the vision of a New Look for Platinum Boomer was…who can resist a daydream? The visions were persistent, leading me to poke around Canva for creative inspiration. That led me to search out new fashion and lifestyle photos that fit the PB aesthetic. Slowly the right creative fell into place. Words began to define the thoughts, and the visions were corralled for a unified direction in the next phase of Platinum Boomer. 

The Journal

One significant component of the new look will be the addition of Journal Entries, with the word Journal added to the logo. The blog will now be referred to as Platinum Boomer Journal. These entries will be personal thoughts and observations.

Interactive Landing Page

I’m very excited about the new look of the interactive landing page. The three creative platforms represent a few facets of the Platinum Boomer Journal. When you click open on each one, a descriptive post will open for you to read. They are…  

Fabulous at any age: Our Platinum Boomer Journal mission statement will pop up when you click open. I hope you’ll take a minute to read our philosophy on mind, body, spirit, and aging. 

Explore: I will offer whatever catches my eye…podcasts, watching, books, health, beauty, style, and culture. 

PB Journal: This is the newest addition. I wanted to create a space for my periodic musings on all that surrounds and intrigues me. These Journal entries will appear as blog posts.

I will continue to cover the various aspects of our day-to-day lives. 

I’ll keep you updated on what’s new in fashion and style, where we can find great pieces, which colors work best for us. And what’s comfy and stylish at the same time? For fun, we have a few experts in the wings with advice for our days on or off the runway!

Also included will be the newest ideas in home décor, creative landscaping, inside and out, and entertaining, inside and out! Links to fabulous blogs (besides Platinum Boomer Journal), stores, online sites, and tips for small projects will be included. We’ll call in the experts for those significant re-designs. I’m rounding up a few very talented designers to share their secrets with us.

And, of course, you cannot escape my love of entertaining – from dressing the table to my favorite eats. 

Let’s explore other lands together. What currently surrounds me? And what future surroundings I would like to create. We’ll look at new ways to holiday, other than ships and hotels. Think of a country house for a month in Dordogne, France, or a seaside apartment in San Sebastian, Spain.

From the very beginning of the blog, I have been captivated by my readership. Those of you who continue to stop by and leave a comment, fill me with joy. I love reading your words out loud.
